  • Does the ball roll as well on synthetic turf as it does on a natural turf green?

Most definitely!  Our putting surfaces are very comparable to a well manicured natural turf green.    Several PGA and LPGA touring professionals have installed STI greens at their home because they are very similar to what they see on tour each week.  David Leadbetter and Jim McLean, world renown teaching professionals, have both chosen STI turf for their putting greens.  In addition, the manufacturer of the #1 ball in golf recently selected our turf for their training facility in Oceanside, California.

Why would I choose a synthetic turf green rather than a natural turf green?

Synthetic turf has a number of advantages.  It requires no mowing, irrigation, fertilizer, pesticides or other chemical applications.  Synthetic turf is not adversely affected by seasonal weather such as frost, snow, drought or summer heat.  There is no need to aerify or top dress.  Synthetic turf consistently provides a high quality putting surface each and every day of the year.

Can synthetic turf greens be designed with contour so the ball will break?

Yes they can.  The design of the base of the green will determine the way the ball will break once the turf is put in place.  Smaller greens are generally designed with more subtle breaks.  Larger greens lend themselves to more dramatic breaks, if desired.

Is there a green that I can hit a few putts on prior to committing to a purchase?

Many of our clients are happy to allow you to try out their putting green.  Chances are, there is a green for you to try within a reasonable distance of your location.  If this is something you would like to do, please let us know and we will set it up for you.

How much will my putting green cost?

Each green is unique.  Factors such as the type of turf chosen, the size of the green, ease of access to the construction area and the amount of work necessary to prepare the site will have an impact on price.  We encourage you to take advantage of our free, no obligation design consultation and estimate.

How long does the installation process take?

The average size installation can be completed in approximately 3 days.  Larger projects or jobs that require extensive site preparation will require more time to complete.
